4-H Volunteer Training: “All Together-Not All the Same”

All Adult and Youth Leaders are invited to attend this year’s annual training:
All Together, Not All the Same
Thursday, February 21, 2019, 6pm-8pm
James P Coughlin Center (JPCC), 625 E County Rd Y, Oshkosh

This training focuses on diversity and inclusion and the need to ensure that all young people and adults feel they are welcome and belong in the program. It helps participants explore the diversity that exists in their community, recognize their own cultural lens, and how it impacts the way they relate to others. Participants will also learn tools and strategies for working across difference in 4-H. This training helps youth and adult leaders learn how to “grow” their clubs, projects and activities as well as how to help new members “learn” the 4-H program and be able to participate in all that 4-H has to offer!

Volunteers request and require ongoing training to be effective in their roles. Volunteers are the primary delivery model of the 4-H program, so Extension provides annual training to help volunteers be prepared and equipped with the knowledge, skills and resources to do their best. This insures that youth are getting what they need and deserve from the 4-H program!
