VISIT THE DIPPER STAND THIS WEEKEND
​The 4-H Interstate Exchange will be running the Dipper stand as a fundraiser during the WIHA (horse show) this weekend.  Come get some yummy food!  If you are interested in learning more about  the Interstate Exchange group, please contact Victoria Ewald: vewald@new.rr.com


HORSE & PONY PROJECT MEETING 9.27.21
The next Horse & Pony Project meeting will be held Monday at 7PM at the JP Coughlin Center.  Achievement books are due on Monday night as well.

NATIONAL 4-H WEEK CELEBRATION PLANS

National 4-H Week 2021 will be celebrated October 3-9.  This year’s theme is “Find Your Spark!”  
So far, the following events are being planned:
  • Partnership with Culvers on Westowne Ave in Oshkosh will be promoting 4-H:
    • OCTOBER 4TH:  EAT LUNCH (11A-2p) OR DINNER (4P-7P) AT CULVERS ON WESTOWNE AVE IN OSHKOSH!
      10% of the sales will go to the Winnebago County 4-H Leaders’ Association!
    • They will feature Andes Mint Avalanche ice cream to represent our green clover
    • 4-H flyers will be passed out inside and in drive through bags
  • 4-H Youth Exhibit displays throughout the month of October at the Oshkosh and Omro Public Libraries
  • WOSH – AM 1490 will be interviewing a 4-H Key Award winners after the 8AM news on October 5th, 6th & 7th!  Stay tuned and be the first caller to answer 4-H trivia questions each day and win some 4-H swag.
  • E-Flyers have been sent out to the Oshkosh, Winneconne, Omro and Neenah school districts promoting our county 4-H programs.  Talk it up at school!

FARM MARKET TOUR FOR 4-H CLUBS
Extension’s FoodWIse is offering an Oshkosh Farmers Market tour for 4-H-ers on October 9th at 9AM.  Each person gets a $10 certificate to spend!  Space is limited.

Club Leaders:  Record books are due to the Extension Office on October 15th.
Youth:  Be sure to check with your club leader for your club’s record book due date


eCLOVERBUD BLAST!

Sunday, November 7th.  All Cloverbuds are welcome to attend!  Registration begins at 12:30 PM.  Youth will enjoy crafts, games and fun activities.  Crossover (parents encouraged to attend) begins promptly at 2:45PM.

FALL FORUM  – November 6th 

In response to rising COVID-19 infection rates, the planning team has decided to take Fall Forum 2021 virtual.  The 2020 Virtual Fall Forum was a huge success, and we believe 2021 will be just as great, if not better!

Fall Forum registration details:

  • Open Friday, September 17 through – Sunday, October 10
  • $25 registration fee includes a t-shirt, an incredible keynote presentation, fantastic educational seminars, and more!

  • Register through 4-H Online 2.0,

  • Pay by credit card or check.


MEAT ANIMAL BOARD MEETING TIME CHANGE
Please note that the MAB meeting on October 13th is at 7PM (not 7:30)

OFFICER TRAINING – SAVE THE DATE
The YAC (Youth Advisory Council) is helping to plan an Officer Training tentatively set for November 13th from 10AM to Noon at JP Coughlin Center. More info about registration to come.
