4-H HOLIDAY COOKIE EXCHANGE
ALMOST FULL!

December 18th from 2-4PM at JPCC

Bring 4 dozen of one type of cookie or bar to exchange.

Bring 20 copies of your recipe.

We also will put together hot cocoa mixes with: Snowman, Reindeer and Grinch Poop!

2023 4-H SUMMER CAMP COUNSELORS

Current 4-H youth in grades 9-13 are eligible to apply.

AMBASSADOR MEETING
The next Ambassador meeting will take place on November 20th at Joe Kuehnl’s home (6767 Cty Rd T, Oshkosh). They will be discussing the holiday parade in Winneconne and 4-H Fun Day! All youth in grades 6 and up are welcome to come.


NEXT EXPLORING WORKSHOP – FUN WITH FLASHLIGHTS
Youth in grades 3-5 are invited to join Sarah Thompson in Fun with Flashlights. Youth will make flashlights and earn about electricity and circuits.

NEW RECORD BOOK AWARDS FOR 2023 – PLAN NOW
We are offering some new awards for youth who complete record books. These new awards will happen in fall of 2023, but I wanted to get the info out so youth can prepare now!

Title IX Training for Volunteers
We have many volunteers who have not completed the Title IX training that rolled out earlier this year. If you have not completed it yet, it is now a requirement in order for your enrollment to be approved. The training is not attached to 4Honline but can be accessed at https://youthtraining.compliance.wisc.edu/ I have attached an instructional guide for the training to this email.


WI 4-H SPACE CAMP INFO
Explore the stars! Wisconsin 4-H Space Camp gives students the opportunity to experience how to build the skills of an official astronaut! Space Camp includes a bus ride to Huntsville, Alabama where the three-day Pathfinder Program is held. Registration opens in 2 weeks and runs until December 15th — there’s only about 100 openings (with limited spots for 9th graders), so mark your calendars!

4-H NATIONAL CONFERENCE
National 4-H Conference annually brings 4-H youth and adults from around the nation to work towards strengthening and expanding the 4-H Youth Development program at the local, state, and national levels. National 4-H Conference is the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture’s premier youth development opportunity to engage youth in developing recommendations for the 4-H Youth Development Program.

State applications, complete with signatures, are due to the State 4-H Office on January 2, 2023. The application materials are available at the link below. The application process includes answering a list of questions, obtaining a county educator (or equivalent) reference, and a resume. Delegates are chosen by a group of State staff members after reviewing each applicant’s qualifications. Interviews may also be conducted.
