Sewing Day Camp 2019
- June 13 & 14, 9am-12noon BEGINNERS, no sewing experience necessary
- June 18 & 19, 1pm-4pm INTERMEDIATE, must have used a sewing machine before.
This year there are more options than ever! Two 2-day sessions are being offered this year.
- The first session will be held Thursday and Friday June 13 and 14 from 9 a.m. to noon and is designed for the beginner sewer, with no or little sewing experience. Participants will learn beginning sewing skills while make a drawstring backpack and a stuffed gnome.
- The second session Tuesday and Wednesday June 18 and 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. is for participants with some previous sewing experience. Participants from the first session are invited to attend. Class projects include sewing a mermaid tail blanket and a water bottle tote.
All participants will complete a project each day that could be shown at the county fair AND will also help make a quilted blanket for the 4-H fair basket raffle. Other small projects will be available during both sessions if time allows. Some materials will be provided and a supply list will be given prior camp. All participants age 12 and under must have an adult helper. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine if possible. Sewing machines will be available for those that need them. Two to 4 day participation is preferred, but single day registration is acceptable.
