- What are your canning goals?
- What do you want to grow this year to can?
- Do you plan to attend any canning classes?
- Do you have the equipment you need or planning a new purchase?
- Do you have a note on your calendar to get your canner gauge tested?
- Have you replaced your canner sealing ring and overpressure plug recently?

Canning has made a big comeback with sales of Presto canners increasing 15% over the last 10 years.
UW-Madison Division of Extension agents work with local residents to test gauges to help assure canners are working properly and residents are canning safely. Contact the Extension Winnebago County office at 920-232-1970 to have your gauge tested this year!
