Club / Group Leaders… Annual Financial Reports are due to the Extension Office by September 1st.


RE-ENROLLMENT OPENS SEPTEMBER 5TH

All youth and volunteers can re-enroll for the 2023-24 4-H program year beginning on Sept 5th. Please see the attached informational guide about re-enrollment.


4-H FAMILY AWARDS BANQUET – AWARD NOMINATIONS NEEDED

The 4-H Family Awards Banquet is scheduled for October 21st. Location is TBD. We are asking for award nominations (see attached form). Guidelines for the awards can be found at: https://winnebago.extension.wisc.edu/files/2023/01/Banquet-Awards-Rubric.pdf Please email your award nominations to dana.berger@wisc.edu no later than September 18th.

The Leaders’ Association Board will also have spots open for youth leaders and adult volunteers. If you are considering running, please contact Kay Lettau: kaylettau@gmail.com or Jen Crowley: crowleyview2@gmail.com (both on the nominating committee).

Banquet invite info will be forthcoming.

The Leaders Association is also in dire need of a treasurer. If you or another 4-H volunteer you know might be interested, please contact Joe Kuehnl at 920-836-1736.


IT’S 4-H PIZZA SALE TIME!

Pizza sales help fund 4-H workshops, camps, scholarships and more! Please see the attached pizza order form. Online ordering will be set up soon.   • Participation Sticker: All members who submit a record book to their club (traditional, digital, video or the new 4-H EZ Record Form) and that are not forwarded to the county level will receive this award. Note: The new 4-H EZ Record Forms are not eligible for advancement to the county-level.
  • Gold Achievement:4-H Club Work Sticker: all record books that club leaders nominate for a County Outstanding Award.
  • Gold 4-H Clover Sticker: County Outstanding Award
  • Merit Sticker: Exemplary!
  • Cloverbud Sticker: Received at the county-level to recognize their participation.

WI 4-H IS LOOKING FOR ARTS CAMP COUNSELORS

NATIONAL 4-H DAIRY CONFERENCE REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Dairy Project Members, gather a delegation and 4-H volunteer chaperone from your county to attend this great national conference right here in Madison, WI from October 1-4, 2023. This experience is open to current members that are at least 15 but not more than 18 years of age before January 1 of the conference year.

The National 4-H Dairy Conference is the place where leading dairy youth from across North America can come to interact with one another and build industry bridges that will last well into the future. Fun, hands-on sessions, tours, meeting dairy project members from throughout the nation and more are part of this great experience.


2023 4-H FALL FORUM

Save the Date for the 2023 Wisconsin 4-H Fall Forum! Fall Forum is an opportunity for youth and adult leaders to come together to connect, collaborate, celebrate, and continue building excitement and energy for a new year of 4-H learning! The Fall Forum weekend is planned by a team of youth and adults from the Wisconsin 4-H Leadership Council (which includes our very own Finn Lettau and Evan Numrich!) with the support of county and state staff. Mark your calendars now for November 4th & 5th at the Green Lake Conference Center! Watch our website for more details as they are available https://go.wisc.edu/4hfallforum.

CONGRATS AREA 10 4-H EDUCATORS!

Remember Area 10 Arts Retreat 2022 that was held in Rosholt, WI? This was was an event created by Waupaca County (Penny Tank), Winnebago County (Dana Berger), Outagamie County (Alicia Schroeder-Haag) and Calumet County (Carlea Liermann) with about 50 youth in attendance. The National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals (NAE4-HYDP) has announced that this event was chosen as the national winner for the Excellence in Communication and Expressive Arts Award. The above educators from Area 10 will be recognized during the 2023 NAE4-HYDP Conference “Building Foundations Stronger Than Steel” Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, October 10-12.
